Dr. Abraham Siika
Associate Program Manager for AMPATH Primary Healthcare
Dr. Siika grew up in Nakuru Kenya and
did his undergraduate and graduate coursework at the University of
Nairobi. He also spent time in Indiana doing clinical research
fellowships at the Regenstrief Institute. Dr. Siika sees patients,
teaches and does research, in addition to heading up the primary
healthcare component of AMPATH. He also runs the clinic in Port
Victoria and travels there monthly. He believes the biggest issue
he encounters is some patients not getting the treatment they
should. His wife is an anesthesiologist and he has 3 children - a
13-year-old son and two daughters, ages 11 and 7. He enjoys playing
billiards and spending time with his children, especially now that
his wife is in England working on a fellowship.
