Dr. Adrian Gardner

Executive Director, AMPATH CONsortium

Dr. Adrian Gardner received a Bachelor's degree from Brown University and first visited Eldoret as a medical student from Brown Medical School in 2001. His experience as a student led him to return as the Internal Medicine Team Leader from 2006-2007.

Adrian has a Masters in Public Health from Harvard School of Public Health and completed his Internal Medicine residency and Infectious Disease fellowship at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston before joining the Infectious Disease Faculty at Brown. From 2007-2012, he continued to help develop the AMPATH tuberculosis program.

In 2012 he returned to Eldoret to work full time as Executive Field Director for the AMPATH Consortium until 2020. 

He now serves as executive director of the AMPATH Consortium of North American academic health centers, director of the IU Center for Global Health and associate dean for global health at Indiana University School of Medicine.
