People of AMPATH: Caitlin Bernard, MD
Caitlin Bernard, MD, Indiana University School of Medicine faculty in Obstetrics and Gynecology, is working to improve women’s health with AMPATH’s maternal and child health team in Kenya.
She spends 3 months out of each year in Kenya, working to improve women’s health. One of her current projects is developing a new strategy of working with community health volunteers to provide urine pregnancy tests to improve linkages to pregnancy care, contraception and overall reproductive health care for Kenyan women.
