MTRH Rafiki Clinic Organizes Successful Day Out for Clients

The MTRH Rafiki Adolescent Centre of Excellence (RACE) clinic organized a delightful day out for its clients in Eldoret on Friday, November 24. The event unfolded as a perfect blend of enlightenment and enjoyment, featuring a career talk, Operation Triple Zero (OTZ) induction, and a medley of recreational activities for the participants.

The day commenced with a captivating career talk by Arosto Ben, a personal development coach. Mr. Ben shared profound insights on the distinctions between a job, a profession, and a career, offering the attendees a roadmap for shaping their professional journeys. His guidance inspired clients to reflect on their aspirations and potential paths.

The MTRH RACE Clinic's dedication to comprehensive care took centre stage as clients were inducted into OTZ clubs, led by peer mentors. OTZ focuses on empowering adolescents to commit to the triple zero outcomes; zero missed appointments, zero missed doses and zero viral load. This initiative aimed not only to build a sense of community but also to provide a supportive network for participants. This marked a significant step towards fostering mutual support among the clients.

Amidst the serious discussions, the day unfolded with an array of enjoyable activities. Clients revelled in recreation such as archery, boat-riding, horse riding, and classic games like ring toss and bean bag toss (cornhole).

The day included a celebration of November birthdays with the cutting of a cake. This shared moment of joy heightened the overall positive vibe of the day, underlining the importance of celebrating personal milestones within the Rafiki Clinic community.

Rafiki Clinic's organisation of this day stands as a testament to its commitment to the holistic well-being of its clients. Beyond the realm of medical care, the clinic recognizes the significance of nurturing a supportive community and providing avenues for personal and professional growth. The success of the November 24th event underscores the positive impact of such initiatives, setting a commendable standard for community-centric healthcare and leaving a lasting impression on all who participated.
