The Indiana University (IU) Center for Global Health and the IU-Kenya Program seek a Field Program Director for the IU-Kenya Partnership and AMPATH operations in Eldoret Kenya. The AMPATH Program, East Africa's largest and most successful HIV and primary care program is founded upon a 22-year partnership between IU School of Medicine (IUSM), Moi University School of Medicine (MUSM), and Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital (MTRH). Nominated on two occasions for the Nobel Peace Prize, AMPATH is co-directed by the IU Field Program Director (FPD) and his Kenyan Program Manager peer, appointed by Moi University.
Reporting to the Associate Dean of Global Health at IUSM, the IU FPD:
Successful candidates will have international healthcare and leadership experience, a demonstrated capacity for innovation and effective management in complex systems, and a personal commit to health equity in scarce-resource environments.
Academic rank and compensation for the FPD will be commensurate with the candidate's prior experience and achievements. The FDP will be a physician, but candidates may emerge from any clinical discipline.
