OUR WORK

Point-of-Care Medical Records

Technology that improves health and changes lives.

Effective electronic medical records systems can save time, resources, and most importantly patients’ lives.

AMPATH has developed a medical records tool called Point-of-Care that has dramatically improved HIV patient care and outcomes. Medical providers now use small tablets to enter and view essential patient information including vital signs, lab reports, and important alerts regarding care needs. And our HIV records platform is being adapted to treat chronic diseases, cancer, and more.

FROM PAPER FILES TO PATIENT FOCUS

“The POC system has really changed the way we work. We’re able to be much faster and spend more quality time with children and their parents. Instead of focusing on paper files, I can focus on the child.”

-         Victor, Clinical Officer at Moi Teaching Referral Hospital Pediatric Module

INFORMATION YOU NEED IN ONE PLACE

“All the patient’s key history is in one page, one screen. It’s amazing and so fast to enter the patient's vital signs. There has been so much less waiting time for patients.”

-         Alice, AMPATH Triage Nurse

IMPACT REPORTS THAT WORK

“The Rafiki Center for Adolescent Health could only track our progress suppressing HIV viral loads months later. Now with POC reports, we can see everyday how we’re doing. And we can see reports on the teens that missed an appointment and need to come back to clinic.”

-         Rompus, Rafiki Center for Adolescent Health
