Remembering Professor Mabel Nangami
We mourn the loss of Professor Mabel Nangami, past Dean of the Moi University School of Public Health, distinguished colleague and an enduring pillar within the AMPATH Kenya community. Her passing is a profound loss to all who had the privilege of working alongside her and benefiting from her wisdom, dedication and vision.
Professor Nangami devoted her career to advancing public health, education and service. She approached her work with clarity of purpose and a deep sense of responsibility. Her leadership helped shape programs, strengthen partnerships, and guide countless learners and professionals toward meaningful impact.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, she was deeply respected for her kindness, thoughtfulness and steady presence. She had a remarkable ability to uplift others, offering guidance and encouragement with sincerity and grace.
